Have you seen the cartoon of: Nezha Conquers the Dragon King? It is based on a segment from the Investiture of the Gods (Fengshen Yanyi). Nezha, a son of a military commander in Chentangguan Fortress called Lijiang, fought with the dragon king and removed the evils for the people. Someone says the Chentang village in Hexi District, Tianjin is the birthplace of nezha, because the very near Shanghequan district and xiahequan district are the two wind-fire rings left on the earth by Nezha. One more nice place to see the statue of Nezhe is the Shibaozhai, at the south bank of the Yangtze River, 278 km away from Chongqing. Because Shibaozhai is one of the must see scenic spots on the Yangtze River Cruise, so it will be very nice to pay more attention to this little hero.
However, legend is only legend. But the cartoon of Nezha Conquers the Dragon King, which released by Shanghai Animation Film Studio in 1979 is amazing.
