List of World Natural Heritage Sites in China

 

Since 1985, China has joined the International Convention Concerning the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage, there are totally 40 world heritage sites in China till now, among which 4 are cultural and natural (mixed) sites, 7 are natural heritage sites and 28 are cultural heritage sites, ranking third in the world. I will make a list of World Natural Heritage Sites in China and World Cultural Heritage Sites and World Cultural and Natural sites in next two blogs.
1.Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area
It lies in Sichuan province, and put on the list in December 1992
2.Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area
It lies in Sichuan province, and put on the list in December 1992
3. Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area
It lies in Hunan province, and put on the list in December 1992
4.Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas
It lies in Yunnan province and put on the list in 2003
5.Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries
It lies in Sichuan province and put on the list in July 2006
6. South China Karst
It lies in Yunnan, Guizhou provinces and Chongqing municipality and put on the list on June 27, 2007.
7.Sanqingshan
It lies in Jiangxi province and put on the list on June 26, 2008.
8.China Danxia
It lies in Hunan, Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Guizhou provinces and put on the list on August 2, 2010. More on Onlinechinatours.
